The art historian Jenny Pery, author of Alan Cotton – Giving Life a Shape and the new book, Alan Cotton – Drawn to Paint, talks to one of Britain’s most successful landscape painters about his career. Alan has been represented internationally by Messum’s Fine Art in London for over 30 years and has paintings in public and private collections worldwide, including the royal collection. They’ll explore some of the amusing and scary moments during his travels all over the world, including as Tour Artist in the Southern Hemisphere with Prince Charles and as Expedition Artist to Everest with Sir David Hempleman-Adams.

With honorary and academic posts at leading institutions, including the Universities of Exeter and Bath, and a founding member of the South West Academy, his is a stellar career with much to share.
