Michael Norman SWAc

Michael Norman has had no formal art education and worked as a Chartered Quantity Surveyor until early retirement in 1995. During this period he spent any available spare time he had drawing and painting, attending evening classes and weekend courses.

Upon retirement he was able to devote the bulk of his time to painting, initially in oils and watercolours. In the late 90’s he started painting in pastels and has continued with this medium ever since.

Michael lives and works in Exmouth. The Exe estuary provides a wealth of inspiration for his paintings as well as the rest of the South West and further afield.
