An integral part of the work the Academy has done, since it was founded, is to encourage the enjoyment and participation in the Visual Arts. This is particularly true of the workshops and exhibitions we have staged with children and young people, which have been amongst the most fulfilling that we have undertaken. The space provided at our new home at Kennaway House, offers us ambitious opportunities to further develop this kind of work, which will provide valuable and long-lasting experiences for young artists. For many years, as part of our fundraising, we have also supported other Charities and this year we will be making a donation to Children’s Hospice South West.
So, to help us raise money to carry out our programme, many of our Academicians and other artists have generously donated art works, to be auctioned, here online and at a real-live event at Kennaway House, in Sidmouth, on Saturday, September 4th, starting at 12 Noon.
There will be a Preview Exhibition there, for the two days preceding the auction on Thursday and Friday (2nd & 3rd) from 10.00 am - 4.30 pm.
